VantagePoint alerts
The following information describes the available VantagePoint alerts.
VantagePoint alert name | Event description | Xylem recommended action |
---|---|---|
Blocked Relay | The relay should be open but a load is detected. | Clear the alarm, apply the override, check for command success, then clear the override. If the alarm reappears, the relay is likely damaged. |
GPS Location Changed | GPS location detected by module has changed from its installed location by more than the minimum distance threshold. | This is likely an indication that the module was moved without updating the installed GPS location. |
GPS Position | GPS hardware has failed to determine a location. | This is likely due to environmental conditions such as being installed in a parking deck. Module will continue to search but may require a manual push of GPS location from a Hand Held Device. |
High Current | Measured current is greater than the maximum current threshold. | |
High Power | Measured power is greater than the maximum power threshold. | |
High Temperature | Enclosure temperature is greater than the maximum temperature rating of the product. | This condition is outside of the product warranty. |
Lamp Failure | Lamp has extinguished or failed to ignite when control module supplied power. | This alarm likely indicates a light fixture issue and the bulb or LED arrays may need to be replaced. |
Low Current | Measured current is less than the minimum current threshold. | |
Low Power | Measured power is less than the minimum power threshold. | |
Low Power Factor | Absolute measured power factor is less than the minimum power factor threshold. | |
Memory Error | A memory corruption has been detected and corrected. | |
Board Failure | Occurs when a board-level failure is detected. For example, the light is OFF but the current level indicates it is ON. | |
Metrology Failure | Communication to the metrology circuit has failed. | |
Metrology Reset | Metrology circuit indicates an unexpected reset but is still functioning. | |
Open Circuit | The relay should be closed but no load is detected. | Clear the alarm, apply the override, check for command success, then clear the override. If the alarm reappears, the relay is likely damaged. |
Over Current | Measured current exceeds hardware rating. | This condition is outside the product warranty. |
Over Voltage | Measured voltage exceeds hardware rating. | This condition is outside the product warranty. |
Power Failure | Unit has detected a power failure condition. | Check the power source. |
Power Surge | Measured line voltage is greater than the maximum voltage threshold. | |
Relay Corrected | Occurs when the relay state was corrected. | |
Self-Discovery Failure | Self-discovery has failed to identify the lamp. | |
Unchanged Light Level | Photodiode has not detected a light level change in 26 hours. | This is likely an indication of environmental interference keeping the photodiode from seeing light levels would change the light state from on to off or vice-versa. |
Brownout Detected | Measured line voltage is less than the minimum voltage threshold. | |
Communication Fail | Triggered when the application has not heard from the endpoint in more than 3 hours (configurable). | |
Cycling Lamp | Set when the Lamp has extinguished twice with the relay closed. | Monitor "Cycling Counter" for number of cycles as fixture is likely at End of Life. |
DALI Driver Failure | Occurs when there is Faulty communication between controller and lamp driver or DALI scene mismatch, including mismatch on DALI Scene information. | This is likely a HW failure in the light fixture. |
Daylight Burner | Light is incorrectly ON during daylight hours. | Clear the alarm, apply the override, check for command success, then clear the override. If the alarm reappears then the relay is likely damaged. |
Fixture Type Changed | Occurs when the light is connected to a different fixture type without first being set to inactive. | |
GPS Hardware Failure | Occurs when communication with the GPS hardware has failed. |
